A. Teplitzky: It's Hard to Make an Oboe Sound Working-Class

On of my first collaborations with Aidan Teplitzky when we were both studying at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire back in 2021. As the composer writes:

"Familiarity is a dangerous thing"

One of my favourite aspects of this project was using the oboe to recreate the different accents spoken around Britain - think refined oboe playing for Received Pronunciation, through to multiphonics and pitch bends for the Scouse accent! All accompanied by a fairly tongue-in-cheek narration by Aidan himself!
